Frequently Asked Questions

Car Registration

Over the years we’ve handled registration in different ways.  With the turn out of nearly 500 cars at previous years’ events, we’ve streamlined the process so that you don’t have to worry about your classic overheating while others are taking their time to register!

Present your pre-registration or pay for registration as you pull down Broadway and into the event area.  You will receive a ticket and be asked to go park before coming back to register at our registration table, which will be identified when you pull in. If you and your friends would like to park together, you must come to the show together and register together. Sorry, no saving spaces for friends.

This should help to get you parked more efficiently and allow you to spend a little more time checking out the cars and enjoying your day, as you can register at any time from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Pre-Register by clicking the banner at the bottom of this page. Print and fill out the form and send it to us.

Where are the restrooms?

There are public facilities for the men and ladies located on opposite sides of the Fire Station Area.  You’ll also find additional port-a-potties set up near the Pavilion Stage Area for your convenience.

What is the Friday Night Cruise-In?

The Friday Night Cruise-In is an Open-Class event, meaning if you have a vehicle newer than 1980, feel free to come check out the Friday night festivities. The event starts around 5pm. Typically the first 150 cars on Friday receive a dash plaque and special awards from local celebrities or the committee awarded by personal preference like Mayor’s Choice, Chief’s Choice, etc. etc.

What is the Wine Country Cruise & Poker Run?

The Wine Country Cruise is a self driving tour of five of our best local wineries and wine stores. It is on the afternoon of Friday June 9. You will start at the Schoolhouse Winery at 455 Schneider's Crossing Rd. NE, Dover, Ohio 44622, and end at the car show grounds in Sugarcreek. You can start as early as 2PM and complete the cruise at your own leisure.

If you like you can also participate in the optional Poker Run. Each Winery will have a deck of cards and will mark your sheet. Turn in your sheet at the show and the best hand will win a prize. Sheets must be turned in by 6 PM at the show to be eligible for the prize.

Note: Saturday’s All-Day Event limits entry to vehicles 1980 or older.

Car Show

Saturday’s show is a Professional judged car show for vehicles 1980 and older. Cars need to be registered by 1pm in order to be judged. First 300 will receive dash plaques and a free t-shirt.

$500 awarded for the Best in Show. Top 50 will also receive an award.

Who are the Judges?

Now in our 27th year, we’ve settled on using professional judges.  Our judges are selected from a list of professionals and given free reign to inspect your vehicles with no input from our committee.  Judges sometimes split up the judging – one group may do the interior & paint, another may do the engine compartment, etc., so keep your doors unlocked and your hood and trunk open so your car gets the maximum amount of points. If your car is not accessible to the judges you might not be judged. You will have the option of not being judged by checking a box on your display card.
